We personally enjoy the sweet taste of basil and use it in a lot of our recipes. It's especially good in salad dressings, that's why this Sweet Basil Vinaigrette is one of our favorites.
- Ingredients:
- 2 cups fresh basil; packed
- 6 cloves garlic; whole
- 1/4 cup Parmigiano Reggiano cheese; Parmesan or Romano are also options
- 4 tsp pine nuts
- 1 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 tsp cane sugar
- Directions:
- Place all ingredients in a blender and pulse a few quick times until smooth.
- Transfer to a mason jar and refrigerate until ready to use.
- Shake well before serving.
