This pan seared halibut recipe is a nice variation to traditional white fish dishes.
- Ingredients:
- 4 medium halibut fillets; approx. 6-8 onces
- tartar sauce; your favorite store bought brand
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 2 tsp dried thyme; finely chopped
- 1 tsp fresh lemon zest
- 2 cloves garlic; minced
- 1 Tbs extra virgin olive oil
- Directions:
- In a shallow dish combine flour, thyme, lemon zest & black pepper, mix well.
- Using a large skillet saute garlic in olive oil on medium heat for 3-5 minutes.
- Meanwhile rinse & pat dry halibut fillets, lightly coat each filet in seasoning mix and place in heated skillet.
- Cook each side until lightly browned, approximately 5-7 minutes depending on thickness.
- Top with a dollop of tartar sauce & enjoy!
