Pan Seared Halibut

This pan seared halibut recipe is a nice variation to traditional white fish dishes.

  • Ingredients:
    1. 4 medium halibut fillets; approx. 6-8 onces
    2. tartar sauce; your favorite store bought brand
    3. 1/2 cup flour
    4. 1/4 tsp sea salt
    5. 2 tsp dried thyme; finely chopped
    6. 1 tsp fresh lemon zest
    7. 2 cloves garlic; minced
    8. 1 Tbs extra virgin olive oil
  • Directions:
    1. In a shallow dish combine flour, thyme, lemon zest & black pepper, mix well.
    2. Using a large skillet saute garlic in olive oil on medium heat for 3-5 minutes.
    3. Meanwhile rinse & pat dry halibut fillets, lightly coat each filet in seasoning mix and place in heated skillet.
    4. Cook each side until lightly browned, approximately 5-7 minutes depending on thickness.
    5. Top with a dollop of tartar sauce & enjoy!
