Chef Peter from Weebee's restaurant in Bozeman, Montana shared his famous habanero applesauce recipe with us during our visit to this fabulous establishment. This a great compliment to any chicken or pork dish.

  • Ingredients:
    1. 1 habanero pepper; finely chopped
    2. 2 cups sugar
    3. 1 qt of water
    4. 4 cups peeled Granny Smith apples; diced
    5. 1/2 cinnamon stick
    6. juice of 1 lime
  • Directions:
    1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan & cook 20-30 minutes until thick.
    2. Remove cinnamon stick, transfer to food processor & puree' for 15-30 seconds.
    3. Add a dash of sea salt & fresh black pepper to taste.
    4. Enjoy!
